Imagine walking outside your home, looking up at the sky, and witnessing an aerial attack of ships and flying objects that are foreign and you don't recognize. You aren't even sure if they are from this planet. Or the terrifying feeling of your country's military shooting continually into the night sky for over an hour. Let's dive in to two different, yet similar, potential alien encounters - the Celestial Phenomenon over Nuremberg and the Battle of Los Angeles.

I don’t know enough to speak specifically to the ”Battle of Los Angeles ”. Regarding panic fire, it is a real thing (I am a combat veteran). An hour of panic fire? I find that very hard to believe. After a reload or maybe two you start to realize you have no idea what you are firing at or even why? Someone gathers their wits and yells, ”Cease fire!” And people stop firing. An hour of panic fire I find hard to accept.
